Who Benefits
TRE can benefit anyone who has experienced tension, stress-related physical pain as well as trauma, including vicarious trauma, compassion fatigue and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). TRE is successfully used for renewed wellbeing by people from all walks of life, and all ages, all around the world.
Around the world, a wide range of Health Professionals
including psychologists, counsellors, psychotherapists,
social workers, doctors, physiotherapists, chiropractors,
massage therapists, life coaches, Pilates instructors,
body workers and yoga teachers are integrating TRE
into their practices.
TRE has been successfully taught to First Responders,
including paramedics, fire fighters, police and military
personnel, in a number of countries around the world,
and is a powerful body-based tool that supports and
significantly enhances traditional counselling based
approaches to stress and trauma management.
As TRE’s can be easily taught to large groups as part of
existing Workplace Health and Wellness Programs, they
are an efficient and cost effective way of improving staff
resilience and an active approach to the management and
discharge of stress and tension caused by exposure to
conflict and high demands in the working environment.
TRE can also be easily integrated into a yoga practice,
as these practices are very complementary to each other.
Many report having increased flexibility and mindfulness
as a result of incorporating TRE as part of their yoga
practice. So much so, that a new form of yoga called
"Neurogenic Yoga" has emerged.
TRE is also an effective sports recovery tool and is a powerful adjunct to support the effects of manual techniques and home exercise programs.
